The July meeting of the Carson City Preservation Coalition will feature Maggie Tracey of Northern Nevada Dark Skies as guest speaker.
Tracey, a resident of Genoa, is spearheading a drive to reduce lighting in our communities so the night skies are again vibrant in Northern Nevada. This is a subject that concerns many Nevadans, and this is a chance to see what can be done so children can see the Big Dipper and other wonders of the night sky.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the State Library & Archives conference room, 110 N. Stewart St. CCPC meetings are open to the public.
