Carson students honored for academic and extracurricular success

Three Carson City students will be among 38 honored today at the University of Nevada, Reno as members of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges" during a campus reception at 4 p.m. in the College of Education Building, Room 1003.

Selection to the rolls of the national directory is an honor awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students at more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning.

Award recipients garner the honor through their academic achievement, community service, extracurricular leadership and potential success.

Recipients from Carson City are Elizabeth DeFlyer, John Gurriere and Ryan Works.
