Sheriff's deputies cited a Carson City man Tuesday night on three counts of suspicion of child endangerment after entering his residence near the 400 block of East Winnie Lane and reportedly finding substandard living conditions.
Acting on a tip that a party with underage drinkers was happening, deputies entered the residence of Louis Henry Grey, 42, and reportedly found an 8-year-old boy and two girls, ages 11 and 13, sleeping among half-eaten food and cat feces.
While searching the apartment deputies found bedrooms cluttered with garbage, cat litter dumped out of the box and an overwhelming stench of "urine and feces along with dirty laundry and left over food," according to the report.
Also inside were two underage drinkers who deputies cited and released.
The three children were released to their grandmother.
