Cub Scouts Pack No. 145, Den 11, will retire the American flag that is hanging at Sierra Place and Assisted Living Center at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The ceremony will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. A bugler will then sound Taps and the flag will be lowered. Reveille will be played as the new flag is raised. The scouts will then march to the rear of the facility where the old flag will be burned while Taps is once again played. The ceremony will conclude with the playing of the Star Spangled Banner.

The bugler is a non-scout, middle school student who has volunteered to perform for the ceremony.

The public is welcome to attend.
