The Dayton High boys junior varsity basketball team matched the achievement of the Dust Devil varsity over the weekend by winning the Sutro JV Classic held at Virginia City.
Dayton won the tournament by defeating Smith Valley, 55-32, Virginia City, 69-34, and Incline, 62-34.
The all-tournament team included Dayton players Justin Daw, Joel Kiraly, and Jacob Deen. Virginia City's Nevada Griffin also made the all-tourney team.
In girls action, Smith Valley won the Sutro JV Classic championship by defeating Dayton, 26-20, Incline, 26-16, and Virginia City, 47-20.
Two Dayton players, Renee Santos and Bri Savage, were named to the all-tourney team. Virginia City's Dana Jorgenson also made the elite squad.
The Dayton girls placed second in the tourney with their 2-1. They defeated Virginia City, 39-22, and Incline, 46-18.
