Jeanette Macall's 10 kills and six assists led Dayton High School to a 15-3, 15-1, 15-11 victory over cross-county rival Yerington in a 3A Division II girls' volleyball match in Dayton on Tuesday.
Yerington's Amy Sceirine and Sarah Sciarani each had five assists in a game that started late because the Lions' bus brokedown.
Shannin Adams had three kills, with J.J. Dini and Carrie Waldaias adding two for the Lions.
Tasha Thompson added seven kills while Maggie Fluharty had nine assists for Dayton.
"I let the seniors play the third game," Dayton coach Sondra McMullen said.
The Dayton (13-6) will need to defeat Bishop Manogue at home in its final regular season game at 6 p.m. Thursday in order to clinch the No. 2 seed in the division.
A loss to Manogue will result in Dayton finishing fourth, meaning the Dust Devils will have to face the No. 1 seed in the first round of the zone playoffs.
