Dr. Stuart Stoloff has received an award from the American Academy of Allergies, Asthma and Immunology.

He is the recipient of the Special Service to the AAAAI Award, which recognizes his years of involvement in educational programming and collaborative efforts between academy members and family physicians.

"They don't give this out that often," Stoloff said. "I'm the first to receive the award without being a certified allergist."

The academy paid for Dr. Stoloff to fly to San Diego for their March 6 scientific assembly.

"I had to give a small talk to the board of directors and then I was acknowledged at the larger business meeting."

Dr. Stoloff has been involved with the academy for many years.

I received this award for my years of involvement in educational collaboration," he said. "And for my work educating people about asthma and allergies."

Dr. Stoloff has had a family practice in Carson City for over 20 years.

He said the award stems back from work he has done over the past five years.
