Ethel Andrae, 88, a Dayton resident, died Dec. 18, 2001 at Regent Care Center, Reno. She was born Nov. 9, 1913, in Cucamonga, Calif., to Arthur S. and Louisa Mae Crouse Throop.
She moved to Nevada in 1948 and to Carson City in 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1975.
Mrs. Andrae was very active in forming the original senior center in Carson City. She loved fishing, hunting and painting.
Among her survivors is her longtime friend Joyce Collins of Carson City.
At her request, no service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
