Fly Fishing Festival at North Lake Tahoe

Friday-Sunday are the dates of the annual Festival of Fly Fishing - Conclave 99, which will be held at North Lake Tahoe.

It is being sponsored by the Northern California Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers.

That three-day festival will be headquartered at the North Lake Tahoe Conference Center at Kings Beach, Calif.

Featured events include a Friday evening cocktail party, a Saturday evening awards banquet, guest speaker Trey Combs, fly tying presentations by more than 40 premier fly tiers, beginning to advanced fly casting instruction, women's programs, youth programs including beginning casting and fly tying, exhibitors including manufacturers, fishing guides, wildlife artists and fishing lodges, live auction, silent auctions and a general raffle.

The festival registration cost is $20 per person or $35 per family. The Friday night cocktail party is $8 per person with a no-host bar. The Saturday evening awards banquet is $25 per person for a prime rib dinner at the Crystal Bay Club.
