LAS VEGAS - Political leaders from around the state will join local dignitaries, supporters and guests for a roast of Nevada Gov. Kenny C. Guinn here at the Monte Carlo Hotel at 8 p.m. Jan. 21.
Elected officials such as Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt, State Sen. Bill Raggio, R-Reno, and former Gov. Robert List will be among the roasters of an evening honoring Guinn.
"This is going to be an enjoyable night for everyone involved," said Shirley Blair, chairwoman for Republicans On the Go, the event's organizers. "The governor is looking forward to spending a fun evening with everyone and the tickets are priced so that anyone who wants to can attend.
Tickets for the event are $50 and include entertainment and dinner before the evening's roasting begins. Tickets can be purchased by calling (702) 615-5928. A private VIP reception will take place before the roast. Tickets to that event are $250 and can be purchased through the same number.
