Historical Society to host third annual Spring Afternoon this Saturday

The Carson Valley Historical Society will host its third annual Spring Afternoon with the Authors from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.

Fourteen local authors will be on hand to sign and discuss their books. The books cover the history of Nevada, Indian Tribes of the Great Basin, poetry, mining, famous characters, gamblers, lawmen, scouts, guide to Sierra adventures and many other interesting subjects.

Docents will serve food and refreshments that are featured in the historical society's cookbook "Cherished Recipes."
