The Sierra District of the California State Park System is offering a guided tour on Saturday to see the Kokanee salmon in Donner Creek
The creek is located at Donner Lake, just west of Truckee, Calif.
The Saturday hike is rated as "easy with no elevation gain, at 6,000 feet."
It will have a duration of about one hour.
Participants are requested to meet at the Donner State Park Emigrant Trail Museum parking lot.
Bring layered clothing for variable weather conditions and rain gear.
Pets are not allowed.
There is no charge for the hike.
