New ownership at radio stations KZZF-FM and KPTL-AM won't take place until August, owner Dwight Millard said.

Moon Broadcasting of Los Angeles was supposed to take charge of the Carson City radio stations this week but asked for a 60-day escrow extension.

"We granted that to them," said Millard, one of Carson City's major home developers. "They just needed more time. They gave us plenty of assurances."

The oldies format will continue in the meantime, said Millard, who brought the radio stations out of bankruptcy this year.
