RENO - Loyola Marymount scored nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings and went on to an 11-4 victory against Nevada in the finale of a three-game non-conference baseball series on Sunday.
Nevada, which had won the first two games of the series behind complete game pitching performances from Chad Qualls and Darrell Rasner, scored twice in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead.
Anthony Angel hit 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs to lead the Lions (11-5). Matt Maguire went 2-for-5 and Tony Cappuccilli homered for Nevada (13-7).
Nevada hosts Cal State Northridge in a three-game series starting Friday at Peccole Park.
