DAYTON - The district's proposed tax initiative will be the center of discussion at Thursday's meeting of the Central Lyon County Fire District Board.
The board has scheduled a workshop to discuss a district survey of local wishes for emergency service needs. Action may be taken following the workshop session.
The board has recommended up to a 20-cent tax increase, but at a recent meeting decided to conduct a survey of area needs and concerns before making a final determination on the amount that will be asked for when the initiative is placed on the ballot.
The Central Lyon County Fire District Board meets at the Sutro Station, 231 Corral Drive, Dayton, beginning at 7 p.m. For information call 246-6209.
