A Carson City man who threatened to blow up a motel with a bomb in December pleaded guilty Tuesday in district court.

At the time, arrest reports indicated that Robert Alan Johnson, 29, was angry with motel management for not refunding a deposit of $100. The call was made from a pay phone in a Carson casino.

Johnson requested a bail reduction to be with his girlfriend who recently suffered a brain aneurysm. Judge Michael Fondi granted the request, lowering the amount from $5,000 to $1,000.

Johnson will face a maximum of six years and $5,000 fine at his Feb. 15 sentencing.
