The Mentor Center of Western Nevada will host its first mentor-candidate training beginning Tuesday, June 6.
Training workshops will be be every Tuesday in June from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Western Nevada Community College Reynolds Center for Technology, 2201 W. College Parkway. There is no cost for the training, notebook or materials.
Mentor-candidates who want to register will need to submit a volunteer information sheet and have a current finger print card for an FBI background check. Potential mentors must complete a one-on-one interview with center Director Susan Edwards.
