A performance today of scenes from "My Three Angels" planned at the Brewery Art Center has been canceled, but other events for the Carson City Countdown to the Millennium Celebration are still on.
The performance originally had been planned as part of the celebration, according to Carson City Convention and Visitor Bureau Executive Director Candy Duncan. "It didn't pull together like we'd hoped," Duncan said Tuesday.
Each day through Friday this week has a theme as part of the end of the millennium celebration and today's is "1940s-1950s, Into Modern Times," underscored by activities at the Nevada State Museum.
The museum, which was founded on Nevada Day 1941, returns to its early days 10 a.m.-5 p.m., featuring fashions of the '40s, a mine tour, a look at the how the museum's collections developed in its first two decades and entertainment by a swing band, with free admission and refreshments.
