As of Saturday, nine horses remain for adoption through the Sunrise Thrift Shop at 1501 Fairview, Suite 16, in Carson City.
The shop also is looking for used furniture and working appliances and a full size pick-up or van type truck. Anyone who can help call 775-884-4490. The thrift shop is a charity for the animals and all donations can be tax deductible.
A donor gave a ton of feed to help defray costs of keeping the horses.
