A memorial service for Arnold Gordon Coulter, 77, a resident of Carson City, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif. He died Nov. 4, 1999.
Mr. Coulter was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Wheeling, W.Va., to Gordon and Margaret Coulter. He died Nov. 4, at Carson Tahoe Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Coulter, in December and daughter, Suzanne Lynn O'Connor, in February.
Before moving to Carson City in 1989, he lived for 30 years in Southern California. Mr. Coulter worked as a manager in the aerospace industry before retiring in 1988. He was in the Army Air Force during WWII attaining the rank of T-Sergeant. He flew 25 bombing raids over Europe in a B-17 as a radio gunner.
Mr. Coulter enjoyed bowling, billiards, ping pong, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Coulter is survived by his son, David Gordon Coulter of Van Nuys, Calif., daughter, Cynthia Marie Wolff of Riverside, Calif., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Capital City Cremation and Burial Society of Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to any charity benefiting Alzheimer's research.
