A memorial service for Arthur Lee Hall, 77, a Carson City resident since 1996, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
Mr. Hall died March 18, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Los Angeles to Robert S. and Irene Rethwish Hall.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Brookings, Ore.
Mr. Hall was a shipwright who worked on and maintained sea-going vessels. He served in the U.S. Army's 42nd Rainbow Division in Europe during World War II and was in the Military Police at the Presidio in San Francisco during the Korean conflict.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his many friends. Mr. Hall was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carson City.
Among his survivor are his wife Doris Boston-Hall of Carson City; son Thomas A. Hall of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; stepsons Felix Boston of San Ramon, Calif., and David L. Boston of Aubrey, Texas; daughter Mary K. Munro of Atascadero, Calif.; brother Robert Hall of Southern California and four grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Hall's honor to the Meals on Wheels program at the Carson City Senior Center, 901 Beverly St.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
