A funeral for Atilio (Teek) Capurro, 83, a Fallon resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Sierra Chapel, 875 West 2nd St., Reno.
Visitation/viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's.
Mr. Capurro died Friday at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1916 in Reno, the oldest son of Alesio and Adele Barbagelata Capurro.
He attended the old Glendale School and Robert Mitchell School in Sparks. He graduated from the National School of Aeronautics in Kansas City, Mo.
He had lived the past 30 years with his wife, Mariellen Callahan Capurro, on their farm in Fallon, having moved from Glendale Road in Sparks at the age of 53. He spent most of his life farming and raising cattle. He loved to camp and fish with his family and friends.
He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving four years in Britain and France during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife of Fallon; sons, Dale of Carson City and Wayne of Reno; sister, Anita Richards and Katherine Utley, both of Reno and Edith Rude of Newman, Calif.; brothers, Robert of Sparks and Feuri of Sacramento; grandsons, Patrick and Philip, of Carson City and Jeff and Logan of Reno and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Callahan's Whispering Pines Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
