Cleo Adelene Lancaster, 78, a Gardnerville and Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died Oct. 31, 1999, at Valley Meadows Care Center. She was born June 1, 1921, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to David and Lulu Belle Burton Slye.
She graduated from Compton High School in Compton, Calif.
She married Thomas D. Lancaster Aug. 18, 1939, in Compton.
Prior to moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe, coming from Anaheim, Calif., where she lived for many years.
Mrs. Lancaster was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, being a wife and mother and spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her husband, Thomas D., of Carson City; son, Tom II, of Gardnerville; daughter, Diana Monach-Jones, of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Sheri Raborn of California and Cindi Lancaster, of Reno and two great-grandchildren.
No service is scheduled.
Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
