A memorial service for Dale Johnson, 64, a Carson City resident for 10 years, will be noon Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
Mr. Johnson died Jan. 20, 2000 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Santa Ana, Calif., to Earl and Esther Stewart Johnson.
He spent most of his life in Auburn, Calif., but lived in Fernley before coming to Carson City.
A retired Realtor, Mr. Johnson was an active bowler and a member of the Carson City Host Lions Club.
Survivors include sons William Dale Johnson, of Carson City, and Michael Alan Johnson, of Sparks; daughter Debbie Ann Stuart, of Medford, Ore.; brothers George Connor, of Roseville, Calif., Bill Connor of Granite Bay, Calif., and Larry Johnson of Sacramento; stepfather Sid Connor of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
Cremation is at Sierra Crematory in Reno.
A memorial is being established with the California-Nevada Lions Eye Foundation, 2340 Clay St., San Francisco, CA 94115.
Walton's Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
