Obituary: Elva M. Rogers

A memorial for Elva M. Rogers, 88, a Carson City resident since 1978, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Family Church in Carson City.

Mrs. Rogers died June 18, 2000 at Carson Healthcare Center. She was born April 13, 1912 in Americus, Kansas to John Ernst and Ella Hodgson Ernst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rogers in 1992.

Prior to living in Carson City she resided in Loomis, Calif.

Mrs. Rogers was a secretary with property management. She was active at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center and the Red Cross.

She is survived by her nephew Kenneth Ernst of Citrus Heights, Calif.

Cremation is under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.

Private inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
