Ethel Joyce Sylvester, 72, a Silver Springs resident for the past two years, died April 23, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Roseville, Calif., to George and Eva Kendrick Heath.
Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Lilliwaup, Wash.
Mrs. Sylvester was a civil servant administrative assistant for the U.S. Navy. She loved sports, especially watching the Atlanta Braves.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Among her survivors are her husband Ellwood of Silver Springs; son Michael of Rantoul, Ill.; brother Melvin 'Buster" Heath of Folsom, Calif.; sister Wilma McClure of Slough House, Calif.; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
No service is scheduled.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
