Gwen Butti Mackay, 82, a lifelong Carson City resident, died Oct. 18, 1999, at her residence. She was born Sept. 30, 1917, in Carson City, to Mose and Katherine Amodei Butti.
Mrs. Mackay was a retired public employee of the State of Nevada.
She was a volunteer at St. Teresa Catholic School for many years, and she also donated to many charities. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Mackay, in 1984, and brother, Jack Butti, in 1972.
Among her survivors are her stepson, Ted Mackay, of El Cajon, Calif.; brother, Andrew H. Butti, of Carson City; sister, Frances Butti McGinnis, of Salinas, Calif.; three stepdaughters; one stepgrandson; four nieces; two nephews and several cousins and friends.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
