A graveside service for Harry Carter Heston II, 77, a 26-year resident of Washoe Valley, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Franktown Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Heston died March 10, 2000 at Sierra Convalescent Center. He was born in Pennsylvania on June 6, 1922, to Herman J. and Florance Newbold Heston.
Mr. Heston was a retired farmer and rancher and had come to Carson City from Maryland.
Mr. Heston was a Quaker.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. He was a member of the Lions Club and the American Angus Association.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; daughter, Karen Heston Scott of Washington; stepdaughter, Denise Alvarado of Carson City; son, Harry Carter Heston III of Florida; stepson, Dennis Alvarado of Oceanside, Calif.; brothers, Howard of Virginia and Herman of Pennsylvania; sisters, Helen McKinney of Florida and Eleanor Colclough of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
