Obituary: Henry Louis Dean

Henry Louis Dean, 76, a Dayton resident, for the past seven years, died Oct. 16, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Bryson City, N.C., to Collie L. and Sybil Duncan Dean.

Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Concord, Calif., for 27 years.

Mr. Dean served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years, during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, retiring in January 1961. He then spent 20 years in civil service at the Naval Air Station in Alameda, Calif., missile shop, retiring in June 1988.

Among his survivors are his wife, Martha, of Dayton; son, James, of Concord and daughter, Karen Dean, of San Ramon, Calif.

Services will be at a later date.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
