Obituary: Janice Weintz

A funeral for Janice Weintz, 61, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Weintz died June 20, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1939, in California to George and Naomi Hughes Meier.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Mrs. Weintz worked for the State of Nevada as an administrative assistant for the Department of Parole and Probation. She was a Lutheran.

She was preceded in death by a son Rory in 1979.

Among her survivors are her husband, Delaine of Carson City; sons, Jody of Minden and Kevin of Reno; daughter, Wendy Staudenraus of Spokane, Wash.; brother Ronald Meier of Lodi, Calif.; sister Darlene Lane of Galt, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
