A funeral for John Nigh, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 21 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Nigh died April 9, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1913, in Duncan, Okla., to Lee and Maud Hennington Nigh.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Pittsburg, Pa.
Mr. Nigh worked in labor relations in construction. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally, in 1985.
Among his survivors are his son, Jeffrey of San Francisco and sisters, Bertha Watson, Lorene Hill and Thelma Holland, all of Oklahoma.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
