A celebration of life for Karl W. Snyder, 88, a Gardnerville resident for the past 22 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Riverview Mobile Home Park, 596 Highway 395, Space 25, Gardnerville.
Mr. Snyder died May 16, 2000, at his home. He was born Nov. 2, 1911, in Yerington, to John and Bertha Pfeifer Snyder.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Livermore, Calif.
Mr. Snyder was a retired service repairman for Sears. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agatha Elsie, Jan. 25, 1993; brothers, Donald and Roland and sisters, Leona Newcomb, Vera Cutting and Evelyn Snyder.
Among his survivors are his son, Karl D., and daughter, Cinda L. Dickey, both of Gardnerville; sister, Marjorie Morris of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
