Former Carson City resident Kenneth Wells, 65, died at his home in Gold Beach, Ore., on March 1, 2000. He lived in Carson City 19 years.
Born July 18, 1934 to Kenneth and Evelyn Wells in Bishop, Calif., he moved to Carson City in 1958.
He earned several automotive engineering degrees and worked for Toyota and as a factory representative for Peugeot.
Mr. Wells worked as transportation supervisor for the Carson City School District for 10 years before illness forced him into retirement. He met and married Melodee Reynolds in Reno in 1985. They moved to Oregon in 1987.
He had a passion for touring the countryside on his motorcycles, automobiles and the outdoors.
Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth.
He is survived by his wife Melodee; his mother Evelyn of Sweet Home, Ore.; brothers, George of Sweet Home and Gary of Falls City, Ore.; daughter Vickie of Carson City and two grandchildren.
No services will be held at the Mr. Wells' request.
