A Mass of Christian burial for Lori Riggs, 59, a Carson City resident for the past 23 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa.
Mrs. Riggs died March 12, 2000, at her home. She was born March 26, 1940, in Chico, Calif., to John and Jessie Neves Pires.
She married Paul Riggs May 2, 1959, in Chico, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Citrus Heights, Calif.
Mrs. Riggs was the secretary/bookkeeper for St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School for 15 years. She was also the treasurer for St. Francis Guild and all the other guilds. She was a Eucharistic minister for the sick and a member of St. Teresa. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Copeland Lumber.
Among her survivors are her husband, Paul of Carson City; sons, Joseph R. II of Brentwood, Calif., Michael K. of Dayton and SSGT Gregory S.,of Ramstein, Germany; daughter, Valerie A. Crum of Carson City; sister, Catherine Frasier of Fairfield, Calif.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
