A celebration of life for Margaret Lewis, 82, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Highway 50 and Saliman Street.
Mrs. Lewis died Jan. 9, 2000. She was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
She moved from Victoria to Las Vegas in 1952 where she lived for 12 years before coming to Carson City.
Mrs. Lewis worked for the State of Nevada. Upon her retirement, she volunteered at Carson-Tahoe Hospital and worked at United Blood Services until she was in her 70s. She loved to travel and was involved with senior travels clubs.
Among her survivors are sons, Clinton Wilson, of Osoyoos, B.C., Brian and Val Wilson, of Victoria and Michael and Rita Schneider, of Carson City; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
