A funeral mass for Marguerite Hill, 82, a Carson City resident for 20 years, will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. A rosary will be read for Mrs. Hill tonight at 7 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
Mrs. Hill died Nov. 4, 1999 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
She was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Minneapolis to Joseph and Mary Katula Lica.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Stockton, Calif.
Mrs. Hill had a career as a telephone operator.
She was a very active member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. In September, she was in Burbank, Calif., to attend the taping of her favorite television show, "The Price is Right."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1994: a brother, Father Sigmund Lica; sisters, Marion Lebens and Eleanor Johnson; and a daughter, Christine Fournier.
Survivors include sister Leona Reddinger of Glendale, Calif.; brother, Will Lica of San Diego, Calif.; son, Ken Hill of Carson City; daughters, Janice Christopherson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Margie Novotny of Minden; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Fernley Cemetery following the church service.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Hill's name to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church's senior ministries.
