Visitation is scheduled Monday for Marjorie Garrett Sanchez, 78, of Carson City, who died Thursday at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
Mrs. Sanchez was born April 8, 1921, in Fayetteville, W.V., to Norvell and Gertrude Evans Williams.
She lived in Western Virginia, where she was active in a hospice program, until coming to Carson City 10 years ago. She spent her time mostly visiting with her family and she liked to bowl and to play slot machines and dominoes.
She was a member of First Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband Arnold Sanchez of Carson City; brothers Jack Williams of North Carolina and James Williams of Ohio; daughters Rita Wood of Carson City, Tracie Snodgrass of Charleston, W.V., and Vicky Gialdella of Beckley, W.V.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Monday at Fitzhenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, W.V.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. Sanchez's name with the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 21775, Carson City, NV 89721.
