A memorial service for Martha Jane Kolbus, 73, a Gardnerville resident for the past 10 years, will be scheduled later.
Mrs. Kolbus died Feb. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born June 4, 1926, in Lincoln, Ark., to Jacob and Sarah L. Beach Curtis.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in San Ramon, Calif.
Mrs. Kolbus and her husband owned a restaurant in Jack London Square in Oakland, Calif., and other restaurants in the Bay Area. She enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening and she was a member of the Baptist Church in San Ramon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick in 1982 in Concord, Calif.
Among her survivors are sons Stan A. of Gardnerville, Paul L. of Mesquite and James P. of Mississippi; brother Walt Curtis of Washington; sister Patricia Anderson of Rancho Cucamonga, California and six grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
