A funeral for Marvin "Unoah" Dressler, 80, a lifetime Carson Valley resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's.
He died Oct. 9, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born April 3, 1919, in Nevada, to Harry and Amilia Fred Dressler.
Mr. Dressler was a Washoe tribal elder. He was a teacher with the Washoe Language Immersion School and at University of Nevada, Reno. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and enjoyed long rides and his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
Among his survivors are his sons, Shuman of Gardnerville and Thurman, of Carson City; daughter, Maureena, of Markleeville; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Stewart Indian Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
