Obituary: Naida C. Velez

A funeral for Naida C. Velez, 64, a Silver Springs resident for the past 21 years, will be at noon Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon-5 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Velez died Feb. 12, 2000, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Carolyn Jamison.

Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Redwood City, Calif.

Mrs. Valez was a homemaker. She was a member of TOPS. She enjoyed crafts and she was an antique collector. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Among her survivors are her husband, Joe Jr., of Silver Springs and sister Karen McWethy of Overgaard, Ariz.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
