A memorial service for Paul C. Dobbins, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Dobbins died Dec. 5, 1999, at his residence. He was born Nov. 9, 1922, in Arkansas, to Willie and Elizabeth Teague Dobbins.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Dobbins retired from Ameron Corp. in 1979 in Tucson-Phoenix, Ariz. and worked for Cubix Corp. in Carson City, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching and traveling.
Among his survivors are his wife, Juanita, of Carson City; sons, Jon Carlson, of Dublin, Calif., Harry Carlson, of Pine, Ariz., Bruce Dobbins, of Morongo Valley, Calif. and David Dobbins, of Texarkana, Ark.; daughter, Vicki Shell and Kristine Fiegehen, both of Carson City and Cathy Ghetta, of ElDorado, Ark.; brother, Hollis, of Mt. View, Ark.; sisters, Fern Mitchell and Wanda Engles, both of Mt. View and Virginia Jones, of Dover, Ark.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
