A graveside service for Phyllis Irene Fry, 87, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakmound Cemetery in Healdsburg, Calif.
Mrs. Fry died Jan. 6, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born April 16, 1912, in Healdsburg, to William Fredrick and LoLeta Johnson Cox.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Los Osos, Calif., for 30 years.
Mrs. Fry was a homemaker. She enjoyed needlework and handicrafts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morro Bay, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Corley Fry, in 1978 and brother, Merlyn Cox.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Joel Caroline Ierien, of Gold Hill; son, Kester Nelson, of Santa Maria, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
