Robert "Bob" Lee Rasner, 46, a Carson City and lifetime Northern Nevada resident, died June 21, 2000, at his residence. He was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Hawthorne, to Donald Lee and Lorene Genevieve Benjamin Rasner.
Mr. Rasner was a musician and songwriter who played with several bands; most notable were Whitewater and Revolver. He played lead guitar and performed vocals on an album titled "Whitewater." He and his band were active in Rockers Against Drunk Drivers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Lyon County Humane Society and other charitable events.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Robert L. Jr. and Nicole of Chico, Calif. and mother Lorene, sister and brother-in-law Gina and Mitch Sowl, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Michelle and nephew Jason, all of Carson City.
Services will be at a later date.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
