A memorial for Robert H. Dunbar, 70, a Coarsegold, Calif., resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park of the Sierra in Coarsegold, Calif. He was a prior resident of Northern Nevada off and on about 20 years.
Mr. Dunbar died May 26, 2000, in Fresno, Calif. He was born March 25, 1930 in West Hollywood, Calif., to David Dunbar and Margaret Sigafoose.
He was a graduate of Valley College in San Bernardino, Calif., majoring in management, sales, technical and business law.
Mr. Dunbar served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946-1949.
He married his wife, Janet, June 18, 1950.
Mr. Dunbar was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Rim of the World Lodge in Lake Arrowhead, Calif., and the Ben Franklin Lodge No. 45 in Sparks. He was a Past Master as well as member of the Kerak Shriners in Reno.
His career included plumbing, heating and general contracting as well as being owner/operator of Dunbar Construction Co. in Lake Arrowhead.
Among his survivors are his wife Janet of Coarsegold; son Geoff Dunbar of Coarsegold; sister-in-law Jean Dunbar of Carson City, and his nephew and niece, Dave and Deborah Dunbar of Carson City.
The family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, Calif., 95817.
