A memorial service for Rosalie E. Schmidt, 43, a Silver Springs resident for the past 10 years, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Silver Springs Christian Center in Silver Springs with the Rev. Kay officiating.
Mrs. Schmidt died April 20, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1956 in Carson City to Charles and Roseanne Covello Steffan.
She was a 1973 graduate of Carson High School.
Mrs. Schmidt loved animals, had a heart of gold and was a NASCAR enthusiast and Carson City asphalt racecar driver.
She was a member of the Silver Springs Christian Church.
Among her survivors are her husband, Gary Schmidt of Silver Springs; sons David Carroll of Dayton and Joe Carroll of Seattle, Wash.; parents Charles and Roseanne Steffan of Carson City; sister Charla Johnson of Reno; brother Ed Steffan of Reno, and three grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
