Obituary, Thelma L. Freeman

Thelma L. Freeman, 92, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, died May 17, 2000, at Sierra Convalescent Center. She was born Sept. 25, 1907, in Bedias, Texas, to John and Anna Murray Nobles.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Ontario, Calif. for 50 years.

Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker. She was active in many organizations and loved gardening. She was a member of the Baptist church in Ontario.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee; sons, Jimmy Lee and John Wayne; great-granddaughter Britany Brooks and great-great grandson, Tyler Wygant.

Among her survivors are her son, George of Lake EuFaula, Okla.; daughters, Ramona Barker of Sun City, Calif. and Lucy Garman of Carson City; brother, Herman Nobles of Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Gladys Nobles of Ontario and 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

No local service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

Fitzhenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
