Obituary: Tricia Fenar Drye

A funeral for Tricia Fenae Drye, 25, a Carson City resident for the past two years, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Kaibab Paiute Multi-Purpose Building in Kaibab, Ariz.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Ms. Drye died May 6, 2000 at her home. She was born Oct. 28, 1974, in Kanab, Utah, to Fred C. and Aletha E. Tom Drye. Her father is from the Kaibab Paiute Indian Reservation and her mother is from the Moapa River Paiute Indian Reservation.

She graduated from Sherman Indian High School in 1992 and attended Haskell Indian Nations University. She was attending Western Nevada Community College in Carson City.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Moapa.

Ms. Drye loved working outdoors and had an appreciation for nature. She enjoyed playing basketball, softball and being with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elva Drye in September 1993 and Edwin Drye in August 1995 and maternal grandparents, Ina S. Asket Nov. 30, 1998 and Gan Dosak Tom in the summer of 1955.

Among her survivors are her father and stepmother, Fred C. and Ethelyn Pretty Drye of Carson City; mother, Aletha E. Tom of Moapa; sister, Fredina L. Drye of Lawrence, Kan.; brothers, Brandon F. Drye of Carson City and Verdell E. Jake of Kaibab, Ariz.; stepbrother, Darren Garfield of Carson City and six aunts; three uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be at the Kaibab Paiute Indian Cemetery in Kaibab.
