A memorial Mass for Victor Patterson Jr., 73, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
Mr. Patterson died March 26, 2000, in Carson City. He was born May 16, 1926, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Victor Sr. and Christine Aresta Patterson.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Granada Hills, Calif.
Mr. Patterson was a machinist. He was member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 23223 of Granada Hills and he was a Catholic, He had donated 20 gallons of blood. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
Among his survivors are his wife, Cecilia Rose of Carson City; stepsons, Edward Verdugo of Everett, Wash. and Anthony Verdugo of Keaau, Hawaii; daughter, Barbara Woods of Sacramento, Calif. and Patricia Patterson of Hawaii; stepdaughter, Catherine Beedles of Torrance, Calif. and 11 grandchildren.
Private inurnment will at at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
