Vivian M. Smith, 85, a Gardnerville resident for the past two years, died Nov. 16, 1999, at Carson Valley Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Detroit, Mich., to Francis and Ethel Collins Maples.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Reno.
Mrs. Smith was a Roman Catholic. She enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Smith, April 30, 1975, son, Charles H., Feb. 29, 1988 and one sister.
Among her survivors are her daughters, Dolores V. Prodzinski, of Western Springs, Ill. and Nancy J. Herman, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
No services will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
