William Errol Lamkin, 62, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died June 15, 2000, in an auto accident. He was born May 3, 1938, in California, to Lawrence Deloss Wilson and Loverne Dorothy Davidson Lamkin.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Redding, Calif.
Mr. Lamkin was a free spirit, a jolly traveler, a defender of the weak and a fellow poet.
Among his survivors are his stepmother Helen of Yerington; ex-wife Pam Freitas of Medford, Ore.; daughters Nancy Lamkin of Medford, Barbara Cummings of Newtown, Pa. and Beth Andreatta and Kathy Dristell, both of Medford; brother, Al, and sister Carol Holland, both of California and seven grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
